Bronx: New York City has failed to develop a plan to ensure equitable, sustainable distribution of healthy foods to all New Yorkers. 1.6 million New Yorkers experience food insecurity despite this being the financial capital of the world. Socioeconomic inequity is pervasive throughout every aspect of city living. This is especially evident in the low-income and immigrant communities in the Bronx.
